Lumen's SFX generator writes new sound from a description — perfect for hard-to-find foley, custom ambience, or designed transitions.

How to prompt

Be sensory and specific. Rain gives you generic rain. Heavy rain on a tin roof at night, with soft distant thunder, kept indoor gives you something cinematic.

Duration

2-4 seconds for hits and transitions. 8-12 seconds for atmospheric beds. The model's output gets thinner past 15 seconds — for long ambience, generate 8-second loops and stitch them.

Loop mode

Turn this on for ambience you'll use as a bed. The model adjusts the head and tail so they cross-fade cleanly.

Prompt influence

Higher values stick closer to your words, lower values give the model creative license. Start at 0.5; if you're getting drift, push to 0.7.
