Voice Design lets you author a voice that doesn't exist yet. Describe what you want — Lumen synthesises a voice from scratch, plays you a preview line, and saves it to your library if you like it.
How to describe a voice
Three layers: person, style, texture. Examples:
A warm middle-aged American narrator with a touch of gravel, speaks at a measured pace with quiet authority.
A young French woman with bright energy, speaks quickly with light laughter underneath.
Gender, age, accent
These are seeds for the model. Pick the closest match — your prompt fine-tunes from there.
Pace & pitch
Default 0.5 is neutral. Drop pace for solemn, raise for energetic. Drop pitch for authority, raise for warmth (within reason).
Preview line
Always test with the actual content you'll use the voice for. A voice that sings audiobook narration may not work for ads. Change the preview line to something representative.
