Background Remover does frame-by-frame rotoscoping at the speed of a coffee. Three output options:
- Transparent — exports with alpha channel. Drop into any video editor and place on a new background.
- Green screen — exports with a clean green key. For editors that need a chroma source.
- Replace with AI — Lumen generates a new background from a prompt and composites it under your subject in one step.
Edge feather
Higher feather = softer edge. Lower = harder cut. Default 0.4 is balanced. Push to 0.7 for shots with frizzy hair or fur. Drop to 0.2 for graphic-style sharp cuts.
What works best
Single-subject shots, clean lighting, good colour separation between subject and background. Lumen handles crowds too, but the edges get softer.
